About IFPE

The International Federation of Psychiatric Epidemiology – IFPE - is an international organization devoted to the promotion of epidemiological and health services research on mental disorders. It is an independent non-profit association relying entirely on annual subscription fees. There are corporate, individual, and associate members.

Founded at an international conference in Brussels in 1985, French-speaking meetings have been held in Lyon(1981) and Geneva (1983). From those beginnings, the Federation has grown into a truly global organization.

HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER OF IFPE


If you are willing to become a Member of IFPE, application for membership shall be made to the President of the Federation – writing at this email address: ifpe_office@gmx.at.
Each application is examined by the Executive, which decides if the conditions required for admission are met. The decisions of the Executive come into effect immediately. They shall be ratified by a majority vote of the General Assembly.
As a full Member of the IFPE, the dues are EUR 100 every three years and for the Members from low-income countries the dues are EUR 40 for three years.
Annual subscription fees are due at the beginning of the calendar year. The fee for individual members is uniform, except that members from low-income countries (UN designation) pay at a uniformly reduced rate, agreed by the General Assembly.
